Mirta Kupferminc is the daughter of jewish inmigrants that arrived to Argentina after the 2nd. World War from Hungary and Poland. This terrible circumstance has been central to her life, and her artistic creativity has been deeply influenced both, by the environment of the country were she was born and developed her career and by the ancestral world of familiar traditions linked with the remembrance of the concentration camps. The jewish themes have a prominent place in her wide artistic production and Mirta has produced many personal and institutional artworks on this subject.
